Voyer Quality
Quality from start to finish
We build highly energy efficient homes that offer comfort, quality air, low heating costs and durability. Our construction standards are well above current industry norms.
We are Novoclimat program accredited by the Agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec. This means our homes are inspected, tested and delivered with a government certification attesting to their superiority.
Insulation
Ceilings are insulated with R-50 blown cellulose. The outside wall vapour barrier has been replaced with BP Enermax sheathing, wood-fibre panels bonded to an aluminum skin. The reflectivity of this aluminum face adds a factor of R-4.7 to conventional walls, for a total of R-26.
Basement walls are insulated to full height with R-5 rigid insulation and R-12 fibreglass batts, bringing them to R-20 once assembled.
Weatherproofing
Door and window seams are sealed with sprayed polyurethane to prevent air infiltration and exfiltration. The aluminum vapour barrier on Enermax sheathing, combined with tape-sealed joints, prevents moisture from seeping into the wall cavity.
Our homes undergo testing to measure and confirm air tightness.
Aeration
A heat-recovery ventilation (HRV) system ensures indoor air is constantly refreshed. Excess humidity, odours and contaminants are exhausted outdoors.
Soundproofing
Enermax sheathing is renowned for its high sound absorption.
Durability
Your roof is protected by a self-adhesive membrane around the perimeter and in the valleys. This membrane prevents premature deterioration.
Permeable material is used on outside walls to prevent mould growth in the wall cavity.
