No unpleasant drafts

The walls and roof are built in accordance with new, more efficient techniques. In order to eliminate unpleasant drafts, humidity is prevented from penetrating the walls and damaging the house, making it easier to heat and more comfortable.

Healthier indoor air

As part of the NovoclimatTM program, only appliances whose efficiency has been laboratory tested and proven are installed. Thanks to a heat-recovery ventilation (HRV) system, indoor air is renewed in every living quarter. Furthermore, surplus humidity, odours and contaminants are blown directly outside.

Efficient heating

Whether the house is heated using electricity, natural gas or fuel oil, NovoclimatTM fosters the installation of efficient appliances providing maximum comfort. Only energy-efficient equipment is accepted.

Inspection

All houses are systematically inspected to verify that they meet NovoclimatTM requirements and standards. The inspection is performed by an independent expert certified by the Agence.

A reliable infiltrometer test

In addition to a visual inspection of the home, an infiltrometer test confirms the quality of the home’s airtightness as well as its energy performance.

A reassuring certificate

A NovoclimatTM certificate is presented to you after you take ownership of the house. It certifies that the house was inspected and complies with the requirements of the NovoclimatTM program.
